Last year I visited the Eden Project in Cornwall.  (Please visit http://www.edenproject.com/ if you are unfamiliar with the project).  One of the guides bemoaned the way in which sustainable vegetable products were being replaced by unsustainable plastic product and gave the example of plastic "corks" in wine bottles.  At that point I corrected her and explained that they were plastic "stoppers", not "corks".
