Not metric, but we standards buffs love it, don't we??

Carleton, I had a Motorola V180, and now I have a Motorola RAZR V3. Both were
24-hour settable. With the RAZR, and, I believe also the V180, I did the
following:

settings --> initial setup ---> time and date ---> autoupdate (CHANGE THIS FROM
"ON" TO "OFF".)

Turning off the auto update takes the phone's clock off the network. When, after
turning off the autoupdate, you go back into "time and date," there then, and
only then, does a format choice appear between 12-hour and 24-hour. Choose
24-hour and voila! The format changes. I had to tinker quite a bit, and call
customer service, to learn and RE-learn this trick.

See if this works or if you have it.
