Rocky, the advancement of U.S. science ought to remain non-partisan.
In fact, the two co-chairs of the ScienceDebate2008 Steering Committee
are of opposite political parties. People throughout the political
spectrum depend upon science. This is a discussion that all the
presidential candidates need to join. The issues discussed must go
beyond the hot-button ones. The need for improvement in this Nation's
science capabilties is as pervasive as SI itself.

a conservative come to be scolded by a room full of eminent liberal scientists
if he does not agree that: (1) global warming is caused by industrial nations,
(2) every schoolchild needs to know that man evolved from primordial soup, and
