Gene,

You will never get an accurate count of the value of lost exports from the US 
products not being SI.  Those who are turned off to products not being SI 
simply go elsewhere without a whimper.  So the company is never aware of why 
their sales are suffering.  


If you went to a restaurant and didn't like the food, would you complain to the 
manager or would you simply not go there in the future?  It is the same 
philosophy.

Rejection of exports from the US which are not fully documented (as well as 
labeled) in SI might persuade a majority in Congress to move the US *more 
strongly* to SI.

SI is already "preferred" by public law in the US. Congress and (by delegation) 
other Federal entities have "fixed" or "set" or prescribed units to be used, 
not always SI and sometimes with *contradictions* that need to be erased.
