John, I had a conversation yesterday with Tina Lehr, coordinator of STEM education in the Urbana Illinois School District. I am pleased to report that Tina has a good knowledge of SI and is actively promoting SI in the District's curricula.

There are expectations of things, like the metric system. Here it's just something we teach, but people are expected to know this going into the job."
