Dad's little fingernail,
That is a centimeter
Stretch our five toes in width,
that shows a decimeter
A four year old in height
the meter is the start
or active ten year old
from floor up to her heart.
There are lots of relationships on the human body that relate directly to SI measurements.
I hope someday to do a children's book of metric poetry if I can find an illustrator.
