Sure, you could express it in yoctograms (or the mass of IGF-1 in
zeptograms), Michael. But why would you want to?
In a way, the dalton (Da, spelled out name starts in lowercase) is
somewhat analogous to but opposite the astronimical unit u_a.
One astronomical unit equals approximately 150 Gm.
One dalton equals approximately 1.660 540 yg.
