In contrast, the article in Consumer Reports displays salad dressings, Unit Priced only in price per pint and price per quart. I characterize this practice as a “defect" in NIST SP 1181 which accepts (on Page 9), Unit Pricing by units from outside the SI in the denominators of Unit Prices. The OWM at NIST, which publishes SP 1181, does not agree with my characterization. What is your opinion?
