Hi all,
I have a compaq pressario 1400S (or 1600S, can't remember) with a loose
power connector. The power connector I'm referring to is the DC
connector inside the laptop that is exposed enough to allow for a
connection from the power supply. The problem is that it's loose. The
supply of power into the laptop goes on and off depending on how the
connection is handled, or if it's moved or in a bad orientation. CompUSA
and Compaq say it'll cost around $600 to fix. They say they have to
replace the mother board. Obviously, I think it's rediculous.
Can anyone on this list help me out in trying to fix it? I'd be willing
to pay a fair service fee for some help. Or does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark
