Howie:
There is something definitly wrong. My 97 has a 4/1 Two Brothers, shimmed stock
needlesand a Uni filter. I've run close to 15,000 miles on a set of plugs and
nary a miss. I'd try a fresh set of stock plugs, NGK DPR8AE-9, set your low speed
needles at 2.5 out and try that. If they still foul, you seems to have a very
rich condition. Go back to the stock carb set-up and work from there. (needles,
pilot jets and mains and check fuel level in the floatbowls) If that doesn't
solve the problem, you've got me stumped.
Good luck
