I've heard different opinions on this.  Yours is the third.  1st was to get 
onto to highway or backroad and gun it though all the gears (or whatever is 
feasible), then hit kill switch and check.  Other way is to just drive as you 
normally would for 30 miles or so, come home and hit the kill switch before 
idling.  Are these various methods based upon differering needs? Such as 
racing or normal driving?
