Thanks for your kind words. Actually, my Max is a completely original, box
stock, pretty much immaculate '90 with factory exhaust. I've not changed a
thing on the bike (so far) mostly out of esthetic choice, and my two sides,
the hot rodder side and the keep-it-original classic side have been at war
for some time over the Max, with the keep-it-original side winning so far.
If the rodder side gets a little more input, things could change however.
My choice in the Kerker/Hindle dispute would be an all-titanium Hindle, if
such a critter existed. I love the look and light weight of titanium. Second
choice would be the stainless TBR w/18" carbon can. I'm old enough, and live
in such a noise-averse area (Boulder CO), that the Kerker is just too loud,
and the local gendarmes already pay too much attention. I think the Kerker's
a great product, though and probably the best choice for unrestrained HP.
It's mostly the noise difference that swings me in the Hindle direction.
