Vern,
Why don't you use one of those Auto Meter tachs ... with the nice
compressed 0-5K scale at the bottom. They are available with memory
and with rev-limiting built in, (which on your '97 is easy ... since
you only have to short the orange and black sensor leads or simply
ground the orange lead for rev-limiting purposes on late model
ignitions .. none of that four diode exercise .. ), or just a plain
11K tach ... whatever flicks your bic .... They have all the options
available on 11K versions .. built in shift lights etc ...... Are you
dumping the speedo ??
