Hi Steve,
I tried that tire on my Max also, a couple of years ago. Same problem.
Fortunately the dealer replaced the tire with a Dunlop (can't remember which
model, but V rated). It lasted 1000 miles...sigh. Last couple of changes
I've used the Avon Super Venom front and rear. They're wonderful.
Apparently variations in the Metz. enable it to work sometimes, on some
Maxes, and not on others. I don't think the gain from being able to use that
tire are worth messing with your axle geometry. It's a high mileage cruiser
tire, but doesn't handle as well as the narrower Dunlops and Avons. Try the
Avon, you'll love it.
Just my opinion.
Best,
Sat Tara
