I think I have some really bright LED's left over from
a previous project. I special ordered them and they are
about the brightest on the market - you can't even look
at them directly while they are biased cuz it'll burn
your eye. You can have some if u want. They won't burn
your eye from behind a cover.....
It would be tricky on a 12V system
cuz you should only forward bias these to a max of about
70mA - so you would need a series resistor of around
200 ohms.... This would probably end up being unreliable
due to the mechanical connections etc.....
