I REALLY like the combo tachometer/speedometer from SPA that you gave the
link to. Their US website is:

The gauge is meant for in-dash installations with a 3 3/16" hole with a
minimum 2" of backspacing. My question is have you ever seen an external
housing that would work with this tach and still look halfway descent on the
max? The only drawback to this tach, is that you can't preset the odometer
to match the current mileage on your bike.
