Jeff,
I went back and spent some quality drool time at both the SPA and the
Stack web sites ... annnnndddd I really ended up leaning towards the
Stack, (my personal preference only). I think I got there due to the
fact that the Stack had tachs with a 10.5K dial range ... and the
first 4K compressed at the bottom .... The one I really ended up
"having to have" was the ST500 .. with the speedo .. and the built in
timer ... (set any start speed and stop speed .. make your run and it
displays the results on the dial .. like if you wanted to do a 50-100
mph run etc) ........... They also claim that their tachs will fit in
original mounting cups ........ take a look .......
When you go to the Stack site ... http://www.stackinc.com/
pick the western hemisphere ... then pick "tach timers" not
"tachometers" ... just take a look at this guy ........... sigh
.........
As far as setting the odometer ... you can't set new "mechanical"
speedometers either ... just note the mileage when the speedometer was
replaced and note it on your federal mileage form if you decide to
sell ......
