Howard,
Cool ... what a blast !!! hmmmmm .. a pun again ... No .. I don't
think the plugs are "supposed" to fire when the key is turned on ...
but it sounds like yours does .... Check/clean the ignitor/electrical
grounds under the bolt on the right side of the frame in front of the
battery. Also ... check and make sure your fuel bowl vent hoses are
not blocked/obstructed ... If they are, (you can verify this by
blowing in one .. and watching the fuel pour into the carb venturi
area), temperature changes will cause raw fuel to dribble out of the
needle jet, (this is the tube that the slide needle slides in and out
of), and down into the engine. IMHO of course ...
