I've got a 1999 Max that I picked up at the end of last year. when I
turn on the ignition there's a noise from what I assume is the V-Boost
unit. Kind of a stepper motor straining against a fixed stop kind a
thing. After the winter lay-up, I noticed the noise seems either louder
and longer or my memory is bad. The question is, is this normal or
should I get it back to Yamaha? It seems to make more noise when its
cold. On a warm restart there is little or no noise.
