Tim, you might check the three wire connector coming from the stator,
its on the left side and goes to the rectifier. If the conections aren't
tight and clean, It will increase resistance and kill the stator. Also
the ground for the battery, the frame ground on the right side by the
coolant overflow container. The Venture Royale stator is a bolt in, even
uses the same rectifier/regulator hook up. There are a couple of places
that do rewinds, one in Conn. and one in Alabama. Other than that not
alot can be done for more power.
