Sounds to me like fuel starvation. Have you taken the gas cap off while the
bike was on strike? If not, try it and see if the recovery is quicker. Also
watch for inrush of air when you remove cap. (maybe air venting to fuel tank
is blocked) You could try taking off the fuel feed to the carbs and checking
flow also, but if it's a blocked air vent to the tank, it'll take a while to
develop.
