Mark,
Your set up is very similar as mine. I have the
Hindle 4-2-1. I have 157.5 mains,mixture screws out
about 2.5 turns,stock slide springs cut 1",stock
needles shimmed .027",K&N filter and y either removed
or in place with 2 3/4" holes drilled in it. I can't
really tell the difference with it on or off. It
instantly starts hot or cold,idles perfectly and runs
with no flat spots anywhere in any gear. Doesnt surge
at all and will pull smoothly in 5th from 2500 RPM on
up.
I think the factory pro needles work better with the
Hindle than the stock needles shimmed. Oh, I live in
Illinois, my house is around 450' above mean sea
level.
