My 87 Euro has about 40K miles and seems to developing some rare form of
motorcycle Alzheimer's. When I put her on the center stand and run her in
1st to polish my rear wheel, something in the driveline starts chattering
VERY loudly. I never notice this when the bike is under load (running), and
up till now, I assumed it was normal end-play. Do the universals last
forever? Could this be a sign of tooth decay? Are there any end-play
adjustments that my "mechanic" might have forgotten to tell me about? Any
input on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Jacques
