Had a friend doing the same, that is running the rear wheel while polishing till the
rag got caught on the wheel and his whole arm went through between the wheel and the
rear swinging arm, very messy.........
In your case I don't know, but if the idle speed is a bit uneven, then the rear wheel
tends to receive a non consistent thrust so it in exchange tends to give the typical
backlash caused mainly by the inertia on the wheel and the engine not providing a
stable pull. slightly pressing the rear brake should get rid of that situation. Again
it might be time to check gear tolerances in the whole rear train.
