Many pipe manufacturers use fiberglass to repack their mufflers, speaking with one of the guys who works for a very well known, competition pipe manufacturers in my area, when I asked him about the packing they use, he said: "It's the same thing you use inside your walls, just the cheaper grade".....(?)   go figure huh??
