Help, I have an '85 Max Stock except for 3/8" drilled exhaust, v-boost
open all the time, and pilot screws out ~ 3 turns. During deceleration I
have popping and backfiring in the exhaust, usually at ~4000 +-500 rpm.
Some of the backfires are quite severe. I pulled the pilots and blew air
through the circuit this morning, if anything it is worse. My plugs look
OK, maybe a little dark but not bad. It did it before I drilled the
exhaust but I don't think it was as bad and it was not as noticeable. I
need some help here I am running out of ideas. Going to order a
Synchrometer to sync carbs as soon as I find out where to order from.
Thanks in advance.
