I got mine from Dennis Kirk for $8.99 each. Yes, they are much brighter
than stock. Here is a series of daytime pics showing the differences.

I will keep a close eye on the reflector to see if there is any
additional reflector melting or just go ahead and fashion a metal
reflector insert as Don Smith recommends. I will post what I discover
about the wiring.
