FYI,
Putting the 16 or 20 amp hour battery in the Virago is kind of a neat
deal and I wish we were in the same boat. Both 700/750 and 1000/1100
Viragos have the same battery case. Usually, (at least on US models),
a 3/4 inch spacer is glued inside the 700/750 case so that it can hold
exactly the same size battery used in the stock Vmax,
YB16AL-A2/equiv ... 16 amp hour).
If you pull the spacer out you can use the larger battery which is of
course 3/4 inches thicker .... The thicker battery is the same size
that fits in the XS1100 case that Exactrep sells ,( Y50-N18L-A .... 20
amp hour). You can't use the Virago case in a Vmax because it loads
from the side and of course the Vmax loads from the top. Also .. now
several manufacturers have the "thicker" battery in maintenance free
configurations including Yuasa with some huge cranking amperage
ratings.
