Greg. Forget the 'color rite' The paint will be too soft for good
results. Visit a couple of body shops that are busy and ask the if they
are painting any colors in the near future that you might like. Pull the
cover and two fenders and leave it with them. Make sure they clear it
with a hardner.
Recently I picked up a pint of red paint at a body shop supply that was
discounted because it didn't match someones order. I saved a bunch. You
could do the same and supply a body shop with it for your job. If you
sand everything before you take it to the body shop you should easily
get it done for less than $100. Sand with wet sandpaper #400 until gloss
and scratch are gone. Good luck.
There are good painters out there that can repair and match your paint
but they are hard to find. Try one of those guys that are mobile that do
touch up work for car dealers, they are usually the best. They are also
cheap.
