Dan you need to find a shop that specializes in building hipo bikes.
Someone else on the list had the same problem and had to have them
drilled out. Its going to take someone with experience and the equipment
to do it right. If not you've got an expensive paper weight there. Yes
it can also be causing the off idle problem too. Has the motor been
apart? Not wanting to pull past 7,500 sounds like someone has played
with the cams and got the phasing wrong. Its just like you hit a rev
limiter.
