My local dealer cannot get my Vmax into the shop until Monday for a carb sync
and valve adjustment, but I want to ride this weekend. With 15,000 miles on
the odometer, I should "worry" about riding just one more day before I get
this service done, should I? I mean, I'm not going to cause engine failure
because the carbs might be a little out of sync or the valves have yet to be
adjusted?
Oh, by the way, the manual says we don't need a first valve adjustment until
25,000 miles, right? So why does everyone keep telling me to adjust the
valves every 12,000 miles?
