Kraig, it helps if your on good terms with the service manager. Mine was
two yr's. old when I had to have the tranny looked at with 14,000 miles.
Yamaha picked up the tab on labor, 400.00, and I bought the parts. The
spring on the out put shaft was weak letting the ramp and cam assy. act
like a slide hammer, tryng to drive the middle gear assy. out the side.
A couple of gears and forks were replaced.
