i know this is a tech list, so first the tech questions: 1. i am about to install the RaceTech emulators / springs in 92 VMax. will i need the special Yamaha 'T' tool mentioned in the service manual to get the damper out? 2. my VBoost servo does not cycle at startup. i have another control module on its way but i am wondering if it is possible that the butterfly is currently 'stuck' in the open. is there a quick way of telling? i ask because this Max does fly...and my mpg has remained at ~25 since i got the bike 2K miles ago... even after carb synchs and new plugs and new idle jets/screws and cleaning air filter...etc. man, if the the VBoost on this beast has never kicked in for me, all i can say is.....holy sh*t!!!!! 3. local Yamaha dealer told me today that the Fazer 1000 "is definitely going to be coming to the states". and that this should be announced by Yamaha early next week. maybe i can stop waiting for Buell to get their production act together and keep the peace in the carport:-) 4. last, if anybody is interested in a set of R1 calipers with ~2K miles for ~200 bucks.... i have the email of a guy i was going to purchase from until i discovered they are not a direct bolt on for my 92 Max. email me if interested and i'll forward his name / email address. thanks raleigh _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
