Raleigh, keep the springs in before trying to take the bolt out at the bottom. Also push on the forks, it will help add pressure to keep it from turning. When you have the bolt loosened, then remove the springs. If you have a 5 gal. bucket handy bring it to catch the oil. There's not that much, but it helps. Do you have a vice, drill motor, set of drills? Then you need to find a friend that does. You'll drill 3-.312 holes in the rod, make sure you get all the burrs and shavings out. Take your time and don't get in a hurry. Did you pick up some more fork oil? You need 20 wt. Also you need to change the setting on the emulators. They come with 2 turns preload, range is 0-7. change it to 3 turns. You have to back them off completely then reset it. You might want to pick up some new seals while your at it.
