I'm running Cobra pipes and the Stage 1 kit with a UNI air filter on my '89.
Recently I took out the "Y" on the airbox and was surprised to see how much
stronger it runs now!
Why would Yamaha make the airbox this restrictive - where removing this
piece would make such a difference?
Is this possibly related to my using the higher-flow Cobras vs the stock
exhaust?
