Gary

Yes, I live in Surrey, England. There's no petrol
and it's pouring with rain just now. Your previous
post asked about the effect on the bike when you hit
the limiter. The unit works byn masking the timing
pulses so the ignition module does not fire. I'm told
by Norman that it kills the ignition until the revs
drop below a predetermined limit set by the software
version. I believe my bike runs at 1500 rpm below the
9.5k rpm set by me. Changing gear obviously results
in a drop in rpms so the limiter resets. The actual
effect on the bike is virtually negligible in terms of
unwanted characteristics. There is no sudden cut of
power followed by a large power input when the limiter
switches off. It feels much like any other limiter I
have experienced in terms of handling effect and ride
ability.

The power shift function relies entirely on the rider
applying pressure to the gear shift before the
ignition is cut. If you miss the change there is a
possibility of over revs because the limiter works in
a different manner when used in this mode. If you
look on the web site there is a full description of
this mode of operation. All I can say is that it
works for me and I have no connection with Norman or
VTAC.

I have some digi pics of the install but I am unable
to transfer them to my PC because the interface for my
camera is still on back order. As soon as I am able
to I will post details of my installation.

Cheers

Steve
