Vic,
I had the same problem, but mine was due to older tires. The front actually had some dry-rot or small cracks on the sides. After I put the new skin up front it made a big difference. Also, if you've ever done any smoky burnouts it might have put a small flat spot on the rear which will definately cause the high speed weaves. Check the tire pressure too, most (I believe) keep it around 38 lbs. I did the Furbur fix just cause its so cheap and easy. Fork brace and springs and emulators and you should never see problems during high speed straight line runs in the future, unless you maybe bought the bike used and someone put a hurtin on it...

Also, Paul has a TIPs section on his page that goes into what to do and in what order if you've got the shakes, its at...

Good luck,
Troy

Subject: solid mounts the final answer?
Ok, I installed solid mounts yesterday, I notice a great improvement on tight
winding roads and straight up cruise when you hit a dip the bike doesn't wiggle
sub 75 mph. I accel straight line up to 95-105 I get a little weave at 105 to
125 it is weaving pretty good in wide sweepers and 130 plus all the time and
sometimes very scary. the only other mod is the holeshot frame brace, Didn't do
the furbur fix yet. Is there something that I overlooked or am I dreaming that
Mr. Max is a high speed cruiser, I rarely ride faster than 80-85, but sometimes
I have to put these kids in place and hammer Mr. Max. I am open to suggestions,
Maybe the swing arm is at fault? will the furber fix make that much of a
improvement? Don't get me wrong, Mr. max is much crisper below 95 mph and I no
longer have to make mid curve corrections on the twistys and feels faster
because you have more feel of power from the engine thru vibration which buy the
way is really not noticeable until you hit 85 mph at which must be resonance
because everything vibrates at that speed (for get about using mirrors) then
improves as you go faster.
Any feedback would be helpful
Thanks,
Vic
