Ok race fans, here it is, i rode the max all afternoon here in sunny florida
and had no problemo with what i did , so here goes (do at your own risk) go
to radio shack and buy the smallest toggle switch they have , it will be a
on/ off two pole switch, also buy the rubber screw on boot to weather proof
it and some red 22 gauge wire, next drilla hole in the top of the throttle
handle to fit the toggle switch in, next sodder the the two ends of the 22
gauge wire to the toggle and install in throttle assy, (note there is a notch
on the bottom of the clamp to run the wires out i put heat shrink on mine at
that point to give it added protection) pull the left air dam off and route
the wires to the servo conection, heres the easy part . pull apart the white
connector , it will be the one with< a red> > yellow> black > wires going in
and red <black . grey comming out,, pull out the grey wire that runs into the
yellow, tape or heat shrink it closed, your going to isolate this wire ,
next pull out the red wire ( the male end) crimp a female connect onto one of
the red leads comming from your new toggle switch, and butt the two reds
togeather, now take the other red wire comming from the toggle switch and put
a male connector on it and slip it into the back side of the white connector
so it makes contact with the red wire u left in the big white plug. now plug
the white connector back togeather wire tie everything out of the way making
sure all exposed wires are sealed ( i blew two fuses by being careless)
heres what u have done , as we all know , when u turn the key on the system
cycles the servo up waits two seconds then cycles it down, the toggle will
let you leave it on self cycle for starting or what ever, to turn the boost
on "flip the toggle up , then off ", that keeps the boost open, all of this
can be done while running the bike .my max has a stop on the butter flys on
the Vboost that i adjusted to make sure that it is wide open, but when your
running down the road and filp the boost on ( trust me u can tell), when i
get to the shop monday i will scan the wire dirgram and send it to anyone
that wants it , my scanner at the house is down, or if anyone wants to draw
one up tonight>? feel free . this worked great all day , and it only cost me
7 dollars, cheapest thing on my bike lol, OK any FEED BACK???????
[ remember do at your own risk, lol]
