yes Bob u got it , the grey wire we isolated is the wire that supply the 
signal  from the tach to open and also   the grey wire tells the micro 
procsser in the black box that we have already cycled  the system once , by 
disconnecting the grey wire we are now just using the yamaha box as a relay, 
for people who are not running a stage 7 like us and want to retain the auto 
Vboost u can go one step futher and use a toggle switch with  four posts on 
it and tie in the grey wire to it , then u have everything , i just wanted a 
easy way to open and close  the boost with limited number of wire running to 
the toggle, i am taking mine one stept futher, i picked up a micro lite at 
radio shack also that iam wiring in that will lite green when the boost is in 
the full open pos. (not really needed , but will look cool)lol. also  by 
using the yamaha box u can keep power to it at all times if u want and it 
will not burn up the servo, the proscesser in the box shuts off the power 
automaticly even if you leave the toggle in the on pos.
