As everyone who's been on this list for a while knows, HTML looks like sh*t
in the digest. All subscribers who are in digest mode gets the HTML postings
in source-code. Paul is the list owner. He runs this list on his spare time.
He doesn't even own a Max anymore. He makes the rules and we are just happy
that a list like this one exists...
Even if the digestifier could process HTML things wouldn't get better. We
would waste time and bandwidth downloading background pictures and scripts
and all kinds of formatting junk. The way Micro$oft writes their email
software would make a lot of subscribers who don't know how to tweak their
security settings very vulnerable to virii and other malicious code. With
400+ subscribers it would spread like a forest fire.
Plain text good, HTML bad...
