Easy. Here are a few reasons, I'm sure there are many more.
- Everyone doesn't have a private email account. I would never even consider
having non-digest tech-list mail cluttering up my mailbox at work. Each time
a listmail arrived I would want to read it, it would be a big distraction.
- Beeing (among other things) the email administrator for our company, I'm
pretty sure it would put many people in the top 10 email receivers list. A
place you might not want to be when they find out it's mostly not work
related.
- If you travel a lot. Everytime I go on a business trip I always unsub the
individual emails and just browse through the digest when/if I have the
time.
