Thanks Don. I'm taking it in today for the 600 mile service. I told the
service guy about the problems with the carbs. They're going to sync them
and I asked if they would check the float levels. He said ok, but we'll see.
If it still runs bad, they're going to get it back. I want them to get it
right, in 2 weeks I receive the Mark's pipe I ordered today. Mark says you
bought one of his systems. How is it?

I live at 4000ft. What jets would you recommend for this altitude? The bike
seems like it runs lean, even with the stock mufflers. When I hit a real
cold pocket of air it starts popping thru the carbs and runs like crap. When
I get the new pipes on I would bet it's going to need rejetting.

Thanks,

Gary

You can't drill the pilots, even if you could find a drill small enough.
Its too critical, .0005 makes a big difference. Thats about 1/6 the
thickness of a hair. The pilots are available from K&N in Oklahoma. If
your below 1000ft altitude, then the 42.5 pilots. up to 2000ft. the
40.0. Since your changing the fuel and not the airjets, its more
critical to not go overboard. On the floats you have to take the carbs
part, but the only way to do it. You can leave them in pairs, you don't
need to seperate them completely. Turn them upside down when you have
the covers off, you want the float to be slightly above level. You may
want to make a gage to get them as close as possible. If you need more
help I'm here till 2pm cst.
