I haven't looked too thoroughly at bug fix in Firefox, but it only fixes
the browser freezing, but does not solve the exponential backtracking
issue, right?
Correct. For my part, I haven't looked at the expression from comment 17
too closely. There will always be expressions that cause bad behavior, so,
while improving the handling of specific groups of cases is nice, showing a
slow script dialog for the bad cases is critical.
