Comment #60 on issue 164 by charles.kendrick: Wrong order in Object
properties interation
http://code.google.com/p/v8/issues/detail?id=164
Really Tim?? In your comment #36 you say:
---
1. I agree that it would be preferable for there to be a standard in place
for the iteration order of object properties, and I understand the benefits
in terms of code expressiveness and performance.
---
So you understand the benefits in terms of expressiveness and performance..
and you don't want them?
Does it have something to do with getting more users for the JS collection
classes you work on? (http://code.google.com/p/jshashtable/)
Regardless, I stand corrected. There is one person who actively wants the
random iteration behavior. Given that I'm getting emails from customers
thanking me for arguing the case here, I think the reality is that almost
all people starring the issue want the old behavior restored. But if we
very very very generously ballpark it at 5 wanting random iteration
behavior, 40 who don't care yet subscribed, the rest (72) care.
Still more stars than any other enhancement, and more stars than all of the
top bugs combined.
