Esperanto? You do realize you're not making the point you're trying to make with that analogy?
That's a good analogy, though. EX4 is the Esperanto of JavaScript. A hobby horse language, used by a few fanatical advocates, in the hopes that it will promote some lofty goal. Yes, if only the government would force us to learn XML, then it might be the universal data representation that brings world peace.
Who's trolling? This discussion is about whether it should be added to V8. I say no. I have no use for EX4. It is an extension to the language. V8 is doing fine without it. XML was a fad and EX4 spoke to that fad. Someone wrote it down in standard somewhere, but didn't make it a requirement of the language. That that be the end of the fad. If people don't implement it, it can die. That is an admirable goal, not implementing a bad ides to bring about the end of a failed experiment.
I like that V8 is so insanely fast and that I can read through the code base. EX4, a language within a language, is going to work against those to valuable attributes.
