Can someone maybe disable comments on this issue? It's been closed in 2009
with WorkingAsIntended. Which is absolutely correct.
Even if v8 would implement a stable sort, it wouldn't change anything,
since developers still couldn't rely on it, because -- as demonstrated --
some other JavaScript engines still don't do the same. And clearly the
specs don't demand a stable sort. So v8 is not broken.
Anyone's software that relies on a stable sort *IS BROKEN* and needs to be
fixed. Please stop posting about your particular website or game that
would benefit from changing v8's sort and contact those developers instead,
so they get a chance at fixing their broken software.
