It would help to make the error reporting a bit more intelligent point
to a more specific location, instead of just the whole parameter list.
Anyway, no worries about writing a lot of messages in a row -- they are
being good as inspiration, reading those I have had some more ideas about
things that can be done to avoid hooking things up to the scanner :D
