Jim, I do same on hubcaps,remove so I can check for heat.You said any
heat,how about warm . One side cool, the other side warm to the touch,cool
enough so you can hold onto the hub but warm enough to tell that there is
heat there. Just had bearings packed a month ago,did not adjust brakes.
