Bobby,   It is not necessary that the trailer brakes and trailer brake controller mounted under the dash of a tow vehicle be manufactured by the same company.   The discussion has been about the performance of the current crop of controllers available on the retail market (and our opinions about them.)  Any brake controller will provide electrical current from tow vehicle to trailer to activate trailer brakes.  The issue is which offers the best performance and, of course, the analysis is subjective.   Harvey Barlow ----- Original Message ----- From: Robert Gill To: Multiple recipients of VACList Sent: Thursday, May 03, 2001 12:38 PM Subject: [VAC] Brake Controller I have been reading all the post on brake controllers, and seem to be somewhat confussed by all the different brands available.
