sco unix tape drive malfunction.

Hi all….happy holidays and welcome back to the grindstone K   If anyone has got any input…would you offer it up please.   I have a tape drive in a sco unix machine…suddenly stopped ejecting the tape and the “activity” light continues to blink even though the backup was not successful.     I’m getting this   %NOTICE: STP: SCSI tape0 device 46/8 OFFLINE   %Parity error     I have recently had scsi card issues…but I’d like to know if I can verify that with an error log…or what error logs I should view to conclude this.   Currently I have my manager believing that it is my fault…people are very strange sometimes.         J o h n  D o d g e , MCSE, MCSA   117 JLH Memorial Drive Grafton, Vermont                            05146                                                                                        802. 869. 6500   x.130
